Revenue recognition that holds up under audit.
Accounting advisory for SaaS and subscription businesses, built around ASC 606 — close support, systems automation, and reporting work from a CPA who does this for a living.
Services
Focused engagements for finance teams that need a revenue accounting specialist without a full-time hire.
Fractional revenue accounting
Ongoing support for month-end close, revenue arrangement setup, and reconciliations — sized to a few hours a week or a defined project window, without the overhead of a full-time role.
Revenue automation design & testing
Mapping the manual process, defining requirements for a new integration or AI-driven workflow, and testing the result before it goes live — the process design and QA layer around automation, with development handled by your engineering team or implementation partner.
Contract & deal desk review
Pre-signature review of order forms and MSAs for the clauses that create rev-rec problems later — discounting structures, refund rights, termination-for-convenience, and renewal terms.
How an engagement runs
A short, defined path from first conversation to a deliverable you can hand to your auditors or your team.

A short conversation about the arrangement, the question, or the gap you're trying to close, and whether this is the right fit — over Google Meet or email, whichever you'd rather use.
-
Fixed-scope proposal
A short written proposal with a defined deliverable, timeline, and flat or capped fee — no open-ended billing.
-
Review and analysis
Contracts, ledgers, and prior treatment get reviewed against the relevant ASC 606 guidance, with questions routed back to you as they come up.
-
Delivery
A workpaper, process design, or tested workflow you and your team can rely on, plus a short walkthrough of the result.
About
Davidson Revenue Advisory is the practice of a CPA with five years in SaaS revenue accounting, most recently as a senior manager leading a team of senior revenue and A/R accountants. That includes playing a lead role in a company-wide ERP implementation and designing the automations that move finance teams out of spreadsheets and into systems that hold up under audit.
Before revenue accounting, that meant two years in external audit at a Big Four firm, testing controls and financial statements for real-estate clients with portfolios in the hundreds of millions — the same rigor now applied on the other side of the table.
Day to day, the work sits inside a senior management role in revenue accounting at a subscription software company, so engagements here are taken on selectively and scoped to fit around that schedule. Most clients need a specific problem solved well, not a full-time hire.
