What things typically cost.
Every engagement is scoped in writing before any work starts, so the numbers below are starting points to plan around — not a quote. Nothing is billed until you've agreed to a fixed scope and fee.
Fractional revenue accounting
Ongoing month-end close support, revenue arrangement setup, and reconciliations, billed by the hour or as a monthly retainer.
Revenue automation design & testing
Process mapping, requirements definition, and testing for a new integration or AI-driven workflow. Development is handled by your engineering team or implementation partner — this covers the design and QA around it.
Contract & deal desk review
Pre-signature review of an order form or MSA for rev-rec risk, with a short written summary of findings.
How pricing actually gets set
These ranges are benchmarked against comparable 2026 markets: independent CPA and fractional-finance advisory rates ($150–450/hr, with a market median near $300 for specialized work) and flat-fee contract review pricing ($300–1,000 for a standard commercial agreement). The automation line is priced as process-design and advisory work — scoping, requirements, and testing — not custom development, which would be quoted separately by whoever builds it. These sit above commodity bookkeeping-marketplace rates on purpose: this is specialized SaaS revenue accounting work, not general bookkeeping.
Fixed-fee is the default wherever the scope can be defined up front, since it's easier for both sides to plan around. Open-ended fractional support is billed hourly with a monthly cap agreed in advance, so there's never a surprise invoice.
Not sure which of these fits? A quick email or a Google Meet call will sort it out.
